WILLIAM AND KATE

The actual engagement between Prince William and Kate Middleton was during a romantic holiday together in Kenya during Octoer 2010.

Prince William had informed the Queen and other close members of the family. He had aso sought out the approval and permission of Miss Middleton's father.

Kates life has changed from the day she and William became 'officially' engaged on the 16th of November 2010. William inherits property, the crown jewels and the royal art collection.The queen will give them a palace as a wedding gift and Kate will receive a new Audi. Audi is the car manufacturer of royal choice, she will also have her own driver.

Kate's reputation as a fashion icon will skyrocket. Designer labels will be eager to dress her. Already she is sent designer clothes daily. Kate has proven to be something of a fashion icon, but a most of her royal wardrobe costs will be met by designers who are desperate to have her wear their designs.

Although Prince William still takes time out for royal engagements he is currently serving as a search and resue pilot based in Anglesey northwest Wales.

He flew into Afghanistan for a surprise visit to honour Britain's war dead, attending a ceremony at Camp Bastion in Helmand province, the home of the estimated 9,500 British troops deployed in the country.

The prince had already paid a secret visit to the country in 2008, visiting frontline troops in Kandahar, and his younger brother Harry served in Afghanistan for ten weeks in 2008.
